Access to outpatient services
Penn State Health Rehabilitation Hospital offers a unique continuum of services and continuity of care from our inpatient hospital to outpatient center. To help reinforce and build on the gains made during your inpatient stay, you may continue your rehabilitation with outpatient care at our outpatient center. Your physician or clinical care team will recommend the outpatient therapies and other treatment that you may need or benefit from upon discharge from the hospital.
Our outpatient center, conveniently located on the second floor of the rehabilitation hospital, provides state-of-the-art equipment combined with physical, occupational and speech therapies to help you reach your rehabilitation goals.
Our programs. Your progress.

We ask that you arrive on time for your sessions. If you are running late, please call and we’ll adjust your schedule accordingly. Every effort will be made to accommodate you at a later time.
If you need to cancel an appointment, please notify us at least 24 hours in advance. If we are unable to take your call personally, leave a message with your name, phone number and reason for cancellation. A member of our staff will contact you to reschedule.

In the event of any change in your medical or physical status, such as a fall at home or in the community, an emergency room visit or hospitalization, you must report this to both your referring physician and Penn State Health Rehabilitation Hospital therapist. You will need written medical clearance from your physician to continue therapy.
With your safety and comfort in mind, we recommend you wear loose- fitting, comfortable exercise clothes and rubber-soled shoes, preferably sneakers, to help you maintain your footing during therapy sessions.
